Discharge Station volunteers arrive by 8:30am. After signing in, volunteers report to their station. The Admissions Station transitions to the Discharge Station once all of the cats have been admitted. Discharge volunteers collect the cats from Recovery, verify that cats are returned to the correct caregivers, review any discharge instructions and answer remaining questions from caregivers.

The Discharge Director makes sure the cats are returned to the correct caregiver and that each caregiver understands the Surgery Recovery Instructions provided along with a copy of the Rabies Certificate and Discharge Summary.
Discharge Transporters collect the traps from the Recovery Station as the Discharge Director calls for them and transports the conscious cats to the discharge area where they are grouped according to Cat ID number.
