Operation Catnip founder Dr. Julie Levy’s challenge for cat lovers

How you can help spay/neuter and vaccinate 170 cats

Gainesville, Fla. –Dr. Julie Levy, founder of Operation Catnip Dr. Julie Levy, founder of Operation Catnip, has a challenge for its supporters: If they can raise most of the $8,500 it costs to run a single Catnip spay/neuter day, she’ll kick in the last $1,000!

Dr. Levy’s inspiration for this offer was a video she saw celebrating the many volunteers who make Operation Catnip’s clinics possible. “I wanted to show support for them and for the cats by covering the other costs,” she said. “I can’t do it all on my own, but I know that together we can.”

This flash fundraiser starts the morning of Wednesday, April 8 and ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on Saturday, April 11. The funds donated will go directly to pay for the cost of sterilizing and vaccinating the 170 cats who will come into the Operation Catnip clinic that day. Just $50 will cover the costs for one cat.

“Operation Catnip is stronger when we all work together to save the cats,” said Dr. Levy. “I hope you’ll contribute to the challenge and give me a chance to match your gift with one of my own. If you do, the cats coming to our next clinic will be happier and healthier because of you.”
