Volunteering With Operation Catnip

Volunteers are essential to everything we do at Operation Catnip, and allow us to save more Community Cats and Kittens in North Central Florida. We have many ways for both members of the public and veterinary students to become involved, from caring for our Working Cats to assisting in our spay-neuter clinic, attending events, and administrative support.

Whether you are interested in volunteering individually or as a group, we would love for you to join us in our lifesaving mission!

Currently, we do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to volunteer at Operation Catnip of Gainesville.

We allow members of the public to volunteer for court-ordered community service hours, however all of their information must be emailed to our Community Engagement Coordinator to verify our organization is able to accomodate their needs. Her email is volunteer@ocgainesville.org.

Additional Veterinary Student Opportunities

We offer many opportunities for involvement beyond volunteering for veterinary students. Whether you are interested in a two-week immersive spay-neuter externship, our Summer Fellowship Program, or our Community Cat Management Course at UF- we offer something for everyone!

Group Volunteering

Group volunteering is a fun and impactful way to get involved with our mission, and helps us save Community Cats in the process! We currently offer various opportunities for groups to become involved, so please email our Community Engagement Coordinator at: volunteer@ocgainesville.org if you are interested in setting up a group volunteering activity for a club, fraternity, sorority, troop, or corporation.
