This thoughtful act provides flexibility, allowing you to specify a dollar amount, particular asset, or percentage of your estate to help community cats.

How Will and Trust Giving Works

Gifting through your will or trust allows you to:

  • Specify Your Legacy: Designate a dollar amount, specific asset (like real estate or stock), or percentage of your estate to support our mission.

  • Retain Flexibility: Adjust your plans at any time to reflect your evolving priorities.

1. Specific Gift

A specific gift allows you to describe exactly what you’d like to leave to a particular individual or organization, including its source.

Example:
“I give to Operation Catnip the sum of $10,000 from my savings account to support its general charitable purposes.”

2. Contingent Gift

A contingent gift is fulfilled only if certain conditions are met. For instance, if your primary beneficiary does not survive you, you can designate Operation Catnip as your secondary beneficiary.
